Who are our legal education services for?
Our education sessions help:
- Deaf and disabled people – Understand your rights and feel empowered to make informed choices.
- Families and whānau – Learn how to support a Deaf or disabled loved one in navigating legal challenges.
- Disability organisations and community law centres – Get training on the legal rights of Deaf and disabled people.
- Other stakeholders – For example, employers. Learn about your legal responsibilities and how to create inclusive environments.

What topics do our legal education sessions cover?
We offer education on set topics, but we can also tailor sessions to your needs.
Popular topics include:
- Disability discrimination – Your rights and what to do if you face discrimination.
- Supported Decision Making and the PPPR Act – Guardianship orders, Property orders and Enduring Power of Attorney.
- Employment Rights – Disclosure and pre-employment; reasonable accommodations.
